Name: Zakary Caldwell
Reading comics since I was 11. Dropped out when i went to college. The first issue I ever bought was Spider-Man 53. Smack dab in the middle of the Clone Saga. Stopped in 02'. Started again right before Civil War (I have really good timing). I didnt mind it much. I read mostly marvel stuff.
Some of my favorites are:
Spider-Man, Entire Ultimate Line (except for Fantastic Four) in trades, All of Bendis' Avenger stuff, Avenger's The Initiative, Runaways (in trades), The Walkind Dead (in trades), Y the Last Man (in trades), and the current Millar run on Wolverine.

Can I Afford Comics?
On Oct 14, 2009 12:00 PMi just this last month, made the transition to trades only. The only exception is ASM because that has been the only title that i have been collecting straight through for the last 17 years (crap has it been that long). So i am down to only 3 books a month (sometimes 4 if marvel is feeling frisky). I am going to check out Web. I am giving it 1 issue to wow me. This...

On Mar 18, 2009 12:00 PMThe JMS run was some of the best and worst Spider-Man Comics of all time. It was either the best thing you ever read, or some of the worst that you read. So basically, just your typical JMS. Although Jimski, i think that 418-about 436 was some of the best stuff. The elecrto issues, the doc-ock issues, and the Black Tarantula issues were some of my all time spider-man favs. ...

On Dec 8, 2008 11:30 AMWhen i was 14, i went and visited my mom for the summer in Decatur Illinois. I had found a comic shop that was about 2 miles away. I spent the entire summer riding my bike there every Friday. The guy that ran it was such a jerk. But it was the only comic store in town. And i (coming from an exremely small town in the middle of nowhere) had no other option for comic...

On Nov 14, 2008 4:00 PMI sure don't read the recap pages ever. Unless the book was more than 3-4 more months late. then i might need to remember what happened in the last couple of issues.

On Nov 13, 2008 9:00 AMi have been thinking about going to all trades for a long time now. the things that hold me back are the fact that i would always be at least six months behind everyone else on story. and that ups the risk of getting things spoiled for me. i would have to stop listening to this podcast, which would suck. another thing is that i have been collecting spider-man for at lea...

On Nov 12, 2008 9:03 AMthe only time i have read either longshot or dazzler in the main universe was way back in x-men 47 & 48. It was pretty much the calm before the storm that was onslaught. I think that it had the x-babies. Do you consider that the good or bad era.

On Oct 21, 2008 3:02 PMthe new avengers brought me back as well. I have to put ultimate spider-man in there. But also, the whole trade boom. I wouldn't have been able to catch up on all these strories if not for trades. So the trade boom is #1. Also, walking dead is awesome.
