Well, you sons of bitches did it... you made me buy the Proof TPB. You and the AC guys just keep going on and on about it, I finally caved in. It's coming in my next DCBS box. And I'm probably gonna like it. Damn you iFanboy! (and I'm gonna get the I Kill Giants TPB too when it comes out)

I totally agree about Empowered. This was supposed to come out in September... I'm very excited about that it's finally here! Character developments and reveals abound in each volume, it's totally worth your $14 (or $7.47 if you got it from DCBS).

My dream band would be a Death Metal outfit... those of you who are into it might recognize some of the players I'm referring to. Awesome! When I got into comics, this is the first comic book I bought. The couple year's worth of issues around that time are some of the best Cap stories ever. Mark Gruenwald was firing on all cylinders and Kieron Dwyer's art was incredible. Anyone who knows me can tell you how much I like Cap and those issues in particular. I loved Waid's run Cap. I think Gruenwald's best period on the book started with the Bloodstone Hunt and ended just before Cap-Wolf. *shudder* Truly horrible stuff. You have to realize though that he wrote over 100 CONSECUTIVE issues of Cap (I believe 110). He was probably getting burnt out by the end. I think I remember reading somewhere that because he knew the 12-part Fighting Chance story ...
