I've been a comic book fan ever since i read Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men. Joss is, was, and forever shall be my master so that I would read something of his was never in doubt but the fact that he opened up this world for me is fantastic.
I get comics every week now and I buy the trades of arcs that I find particularly awesome.

On Mar 10, 2010 1:00 PMI'm curious what he means about 'ending' the Batman story. I've always been of the belief that Bruce Wayne will be Batman until he dies. It's not something he can retire from. Having said that I have supreme confidence in Nolan's ability to make a truly stunning movie. @UncleBob: I think Nolan meant that Supes would be the only super-powered hero. I imagine that there would be super villains....

On Mar 4, 2010 3:08 AMReally enjoyed this issue. It does feel like we're back on the rails again after a long time going nowhere. As a longtime Angel/Buffy fan I am really happy with how this issue ended. I know it won't last but in the Whedonverse I will take whatever happiness I can get.

On Mar 3, 2010 3:15 PMI liked Superman Returns as well. The plane/space shuttle sequence were awesome. Also, the scene where Luthor and his goons beat on him was really hard to watch. It was vicious. I'd like to see Routh in the role still. I thought he was a good Clark and a good Superman.

On Mar 2, 2010 9:45 AMAlfred. Any version of him will do but I'm most inspired/intimidated by the Gary Frank sketch for the new Geoff Johns Batman OGN.

On Mar 1, 2010 11:30 AMAs Jim pointed out, io9 goes through this shit painfully regularly. Quite frankly I'm fucking sick of it. I think the articles io9 puts out do a lot of damage. It isn't so pronounced with movies but TV gets hit with this treatment way too often. I've lost count of the number of articles I've read on io9 that talk about a show being in trouble based on nothing more than rumour and heresay....

On Feb 26, 2010 1:00 PMI'm with @conor in that I'd really just like a big superhero game that isn't an MMO. I realise that this is where the money is in video games nowadays; I mean why just charge for the game once when you can have people pay an ongoing subscription fee? I'm not down with it and doubt I ever will be unless some major breakthroughs in MMO storytelling occur.
