It hurts when New Comics for 10/07/09 coughs

On Oct 5, 2009 2:25 PM

Since I live in a house with 2 other comic fans I use the pull feature for all the books we're getting and i make the run to the comic store. I think this is probably the biggest week ever with almost fifty books and nearly 170 bucks before tax. HOLY SHIT. Schools of comic book art: Unconventional artists

On Aug 6, 2009 3:00 PM

It's interesting to compare McKeever's color work like Plastic Forks or Metropol to the B&W books like Transit or Eddy Current. It's strange to me that color seems to take a lot of the bite out of his work.   i dunno i'm probably just talking out of my ass.

The Best of the Week in... Covers (06/24/09)

On Jun 25, 2009 12:00 PM

Dectective did have a great cover, but my favorite of the week was Uncanny 512. like patio said, big LOEG vibe to it. Second, for me, was Dark Reign Zodiac, but that's mainly due to me being a HUGE Nathan Fox whore. Viking was great too.

@celophuswayne - What britpop band didn't blazenly rip off some band? I think Elastica gets a unfair shake because they ripped off fucking Wire. Oh wellz, kill yr idols and take their wallets and all that jazz. Nice pick Ron, It's nice when Superhero books aren't picked. Don't get me wrong, I love Superhero books, but youknowwhutimean.
