@brianbear - I had an underline issue when I was doing a preview of the article -- the last two paragraphs were all underlined...not because they were important, it was just a bug. is that what you were seeing?  I used to love the Unknown Soldier as a kid. He kept popping up in these DC Digests I had as a kid. Him and Deadman--strange characters but they really made an impact on me...

PudgyNinja--you are totally right....I thought the "Milk" reference would kinda do it, but you are right, I really needed to talk about a sunset or some kind of cool "only in San Francisco" moment.  lol on the name dropping and gossip--sucks to be in LA, makes it hard to really ape Caen well...   but yeah, he really was the voice of the City...totally sad that h...

Comic Books Prices: How Much is Too Much?

great article, Conor--I had always been scared to even attempt to figure out what the dollar to page ratio is...it's quite astounding, really, how much these books are costing, and how ill prepared we are to absorb the new costs. I definitely feel like we are at some kind of crossroads--I wonder when if we'll see less popular titles going to an all-trade format or just dropped all together... ...
