If You Love It, You Can Rank It
On Jul 22, 2009 1:23 PMIt does say for better or for worse, and the artists selected all fall in one of those categories. I thought they were pretty fair in their assessment, but at the same time throwing in some of the usual Onion humor. For me to say I disagree with the selections would only suggest I know better myself who was more influential, and that's just not true.

On Jul 17, 2009 12:12 PM@josh - I agree 100%. It's like comparing apples and oranges. I heard rumblings that Aaron would be writing Punisher MAX, but had not heard about Dillon. Bonus!

On Jul 16, 2009 2:27 PMLooks like they made a nice choice for Black Widow. Even if the footage of Mickey in costume looks lame, I am more than willing to give this sequel every chance in the world. Marvel has a good track record with 2nd movies in a franchise, and Iron Man is (arguably) the best 1st installment of a Marvel movie.
Go to CommentComic books are superheroes. Superheroes are comic books.
On Jul 16, 2009 12:00 PMI agree that superheroes work best in comics, even if they do (occasionally) lend themselves well to film and animation. As much as I enjoyed Dark Knight and Batman The Animated Series, my love for those things are not on the same level as Dark Knight Returns, Year One, or Son of the Demon. I rarely think a guy looks strange in tights in a comic, but sometimes I do when w...

On Jul 15, 2009 12:00 PMAfter 50 something Brubaker Cap issues, he finally wrote one I didn't love. Or even like, really. This issue also marks the 1st time I didn't love Hitch's art. Not a good start for me. Let's hope the next issue is better.

On Jul 15, 2009 9:00 AMI have always preferred Colon's art in B&W. I had no idea he was that old! The Essential Tomb of Dracula still looks amazing in B&W, but I never cared for his work on batman in the 80s in color, obviously.

On Jul 14, 2009 8:45 AM@BrowncoatJedi - If there are 2 or 3 hot chicks at a con, they are more likely to want to hook up with the writer or artist of their favorite book, not the fat, sweaty lumps rumamging thorugh the 50 cent boxes.

On Jul 13, 2009 3:28 PMI guess she will be fine. I was not sure if Don and Jane would be in the move, or if it would focus mostly on Asgard. So is the same guy playing Thor and Don?
Go to CommentRyan Reynolds is Green Lantern
On Jul 10, 2009 11:45 PMHe's a better choice than some of the other names knocked around. I think he is a decent actor, with good comic timing who has had few chances to really shine in his previous roles. I haven't seen Wolverine, but I hear good things about him in that.

On Jul 10, 2009 1:00 PM1st post, huzzah, huzzah. I thought a few years ago that Kurt Busiek would be a good choice to revamp Aquaman. That didn't really work out. Now, I might even like to see him portrayed as he is on Brave & Bold. If he is already a "punchline", why not make it a humor book? Maybe even with Keith Giffen writing?
