this books were great and girls were reading them a least in my circle of friends and family ( 5 females to one guy, me) . everyone is sad to see these go, i do hope that everyone gets to make more comics either with the big companies or independently.  

well my girlfriend started slow with runaways and Spider-man loves mary jane as the gateway drug but now has become a full time fanboy with her own pull list, i have created a monster.  some of her books are: Buffy Season 8, Red Sonja, Echo, Runaways, SPLMJ, Wonder Woman, Secret Six, Secret Invasion, etc. in trades she is reading : Fables,Y: The Last Man, Scott Pilgrim, Bone, Strangers...

great article josh I too have taken to getting non-readers into reading comics or at least seeing it eith an open mind. (so far i have gotten my girlfriend and 2 of my co-workers into getting their own pull list of books for them to read), I have have said it many times that their is a comic for everyone as long as you know what they like. the umbrella academy was awesome ( I read my brother's single issues) but i'm waiting is for the dark horse library edition of the umbrella academy that comes out in aug or sept. i ordered my starman from instocktrades june 2 and i'm still waiting for it and after reading all the stacks week articles i realized how big my stack is and it kinda makes me excited to read ever...

Runaways not only got my girlfriend reading comics, it also made my two sisters and my niece into comic readers ( that's 4 girls who are now reading comics and 3 of them excited to be going to WW Chicago this year).
