@Tad Everytime you say something  like "last time I saw Guillermo" (first name basis? really?) I shake my fist angrily at the air. Then you tell me something so awesome (ie: Mike Mignola drawing Hellboy interiors) and I just can't stay mad at you.

@Tad I think most new readers that went to Hellboy after the movie were probably people who read comics but just not Hellboy. Whereas any new reader Batman Begins brings in is probably a new fan. At least, I would think so. I think a fairly significant portion of comic readers have read Batman or X-Men before, but (unfortunately) the same can't be said for Hellboy.  I've got to say. ...

I just bought all of the issues. Does the omnibus have much as far as extras go that should convince me to doubledip?

You have instilled in me the want to self-publish something. A comic, a zine, a novel. Anything. Unfortunately, it will be three days before I sit down to do it, and two days until I decide not to at all. I guess that is what makes the people who actually do so special.  Great article.

So. I don't follow much Marvel. Someone explain this to me. The Incredible Hulk changed its name to The Incredible Hercules and The Hulk isn't in it anymore? Isn't that just called a new book?

@Dan Finally, someone who AGREES. Superman Returns would have been EXCELLENT if the Hulk was in it and hitting things.  "Hulk smash baby Kent!" What, radioactive dogs are appropriate but not alien children?

I think I'm going to have to wait and read this as a whole in two months, but it looks really good. As has been said, I love the layouts. I'm just not sure I'll be able to follow this story on a weekly basis.
