New Comics for 09/16/09 think Beyonce got robbed!

On Sep 14, 2009 4:05 PM

Not so much a video more a performance, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne and George Harrison's kid playing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" About half way through Prince magically appears(that's what Prince does, because, wel he's Prince) and gives a face melting solo.  The look on Harrison's face is priceless.   http://tinyurl.com/cza3g2

iFanboy Video Goes On Fall Break

On Aug 31, 2009 9:40 PM

Bummer, but an understandable bummer.  I hope when the show comes back we finally get the "Statue Episode"  As long as we get a few more Talk and Booksplodes, and the show does come back (Not like Ultimate Hulk Vs. Wolverine way, but a couple of months like a TV show way) I will continue to keep my membership dues curent.

The Walking Dead to be a TV Show on AMC?

On Aug 12, 2009 12:14 AM

Hopefully this starts a trend for comics to tv. If Y: The Last Man or Preacher are going to go live action they would be suited better in a one hour long running TV series then crammed into a couple of two hour movies. Watchmen would have worked better this way(not saying the movie is bad) who won't love a Christopher Nolan produced HBO Batman series or a minute Spider-man show on a major netw...

07.29.2009 - X-Men Forever #4

On Jul 30, 2009 2:20 AM

Ron picking an X-Men book makes me feel that all is right with the world.  Just like Josh, I have no interest in this book or the X-Men, but goddamn I can't wait to hear Ron talk about this on the podcast. Please, I don't care if it takes up half the show, do a Ron vs X-Men Forever style review on Sunday.

Welcome back Barry Allen!  This was as good as any single issue I have read in a long time.  @edward I have a friend that made a series of bad choices and spent 3 years in prison.  When he got out last summer he couldn't believe how much had changed and he felt very out of step with technology, social trends and pop culture.  That was "only" 3 years.  I tota...

Woe be the Comic Recommender

On Mar 18, 2009 12:00 PM

I too have had this conversation with a few friends recently.  I thnk Y: The Last Man may be the best comic crack there is.  I just handed out the first two trades of Criminal to a friend.  Spider-Man Blue was a huge hit with another friends.  Sadly I was shocked that New Frontier was a bit of a dub with the same friend.  Too old fashion I guess.  I think Identi...

Is it possible that the Superman books are the best thing going in comics right now?  I think so.  My POW as well.

01.28.2009 - Battlefields Dear Billy #1

On Jan 28, 2009 11:29 PM

I picked this up based on Conor and Josh's reviews on the podcast of the last arc. Does anyone know when the first arc comes out in trade?  I couldn't agree more with this as POW.  The first couple of pages are rough to read and grab you.  What is brilliant about the opening scene, some nasty, terrible stuff happens, but you don't see it, it is only talked about, which is far ...
