New Comics for 11/11/09 likes coffee and cherry pie

On Nov 9, 2009 2:13 PM

Not all that much, but I can deal with that, since all of mine from a month come in one big box (here we go dcbs, hoorah!). Really excited about Batman and Robin and GLC, though. BQ: For every semester I finish at school I buy myself an autographed baseball of a relief pitcher I like. I think my last one was Carlos Marmol from the Cubs...

Book of the Month - G.I. Joe: Cobra

On Nov 9, 2009 5:50 AM

Thank God, I was gonna go nuts if this wasn't the pick. Fantastic book and, to date, the only comic I've been able to get my friends to read.

So...what do you like?

On Nov 4, 2009 9:00 AM

I'm loving everything Blackest Night. The main book, GL, GLC, the tie-ins (which I buy with reckless abandon), everything about it I love. Ultimate Spiderman is my favorite new pick-up (I started reading after the renumbering started), and everything else I read is somewhere between "really like" and "like just enough to keep buying it." I also seem to be the only one in th...

New Comics for 10/28/09 have finally figured out a Halloween costume

On Oct 26, 2009 1:20 PM

Man, lots of good books this week. Dynamo 5 25, all of the Blackest Night stuff, New Avengers, GI Joe Cobra (which I sadly missed in issues). Maybe some other stuff too, who knows? Either way, it's a good week. Or rather, will be once my dcbs order comes through BQ: I've always liked reese's cups, so I think I'll go with that

Great Moments in Comics History: Batman #197

On Sep 4, 2009 9:00 AM

@Calebthetimetraveler: that's grammatically correct, "man's" is in the possessive, not a contraction (sorry, I'm a huge grammar nerd and my ocd wasn't letter that fly) And seriously? Mr. shorts and pixie boots is talking about something being "man's work"? Kinda like the pot callin' the kettle black

08.26.2009 - Batman & Robin #3

On Aug 26, 2009 5:17 PM

I may have nightmares because of Pyg's speeches... but that's alright since this book was so damned awesome. Only other thing that came close this week was Green Lantern (and I guess Flash: Rebirth in a close third)

New Comics for 08/26/09 are taking a trip to Awesome Town

On Aug 24, 2009 4:15 PM

So much awesome! More zombies (GL and BN:Titans), Batman & Robin, New Avengers, JSA (which I still like), and Wednesday Comics. This is gonna be a good Wednesday BQ: Now I can't see, I just stare. I'm still alive - Alive, Pearl Jam. Mostly because of how it's sung, but it's a pretty sweet lyric nonetheless

What can we learn from the (early) success of THE UNWRITTEN?

On Jun 11, 2009 5:00 PM

Heck, that's how I got it. I heard y'all talk about it on the show and the premise sounded meh, but bought it 'cuz it was a dollar and figured why not. And lo, it was amazing and I bought number 2
