@Kory - Ellis's Astonishing has to be the most polarizing book out there.  I absolutely hated the first issue, but opinions are all over the spectrum.  I'd say pick #25, its one of those books that you know you'll like or dislike after the first 10 pages

I think this issue was great up until the last 3rd in the savage land.  Having the 70's heroes coming out of the spaceship in issue #1 was a bad move, spending the next 5 months wrapping it up was an even worse move, especially when it was obvious they were all imposters from the beginning.  All the other plot-points are interesting though, I wish Bendis would spend all his time devel...

I just disagree that there's ANY evidence that this industry is "dying" or will die once all the 30 year old comic readers are gone.  Comics are so much more accepted these days because of the success of the movies, it seems to me people are more open to picking up a graphic novel instead of just dismissing it as kids stuff or dork stuff.

Apparently Archaia Studio Press is back in business.  I was happy to pick up Okko: Cycle of Earth #1 (loved Cycle of Water) and Titanium Rain which looks pretty unique

07.23.2008 - Uncanny X-Men #500

This seemed like more of a fill-in issue than a 500th, it wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't good.  I knew Magneto would be returning, I just wasn't expecting him to be somewhat pathetic.  Brubaker has yet to develop an engrossing story-arc on this title, hopefully he has more up his sleeve than just the X-Men going green; Fraction being on the book gives me a lot of hope for the...
