Name: Jeff Sandquist
I am a Certified Athletic Trainer and chiropractic student born, raised and schooled in Minnesota. I enjoy comic books of all kinds, action figures, cartoons (especially 80s) and movies (especially horror and Kevin Smith flicks). It was Wolverine, the 90s X-Men cartoon and Marvel trading cards that got me into comics. My favorite creator/writer/artist is Sam Kieth. I especially love his Wolverine and The Maxx. I used to only read Marvel and Image but in the past few years I have opened up to all publishers. Recently I have been catching up on the classics such as Kingdom Come and just about anything Alan Moore or Frank Miller have done. I have also been enjoying the new classics such as Y the Last Man and Fables. I am open reading new books and thanks to iFanboy I have been introduced to great books like Scalped.

On Sep 22, 2008 11:44 AMKnow I know...And knowing is half the battle...GI JOE!!! Great article and great Joe to pick on. As I got older I always thought Snow Job was a hilarious name. The crazy outfits and names is my favorite part of GI Joe personally. Glad to see the Chuckles (Hawaiian flower shirt guy) cuz he has always been my favorite Joe for some reason ever since I saw the GI Joe Movie were he is only in it for...

On Sep 9, 2008 9:00 AMSad to see the DDP run of GI Joe come to an end as I think they finally found their legs with the WWIII story arc that concluded the series (pick it up in trade!!!) however I am excited for the new IDW series. The Templesmith cover for #0 look AWESOME. My only worry is that they are going to flood the market like they have done with Transformers as well as the 4 dollar cover price. Looks like m...

Go to CommentThe Bulletproof Writer, and Other Tales to Appall
On Sep 8, 2008 11:08 AMSo far Jason Aaron is still "bulletproof" in my book. Sure, not everything he has written (and I have read everything he has done thus far) has been comic gold but at the same time nothing has made me stop picking up EVERYTHING with his name on it even if it is a character I have no interest in (i.e. Black Panther, Ghost Rider). In response to RUINS, it has been on my list of ...

On Sep 4, 2008 12:00 PMI still (and will probably always) bag and board for 2 reasons. 1. I like my stuff to stay nice. Not so I can sell it for profit later, but just because they stand in the long boxes better and don't get all bent, ripped and messed up as I flip through them. 2. There's something relaxing and enjoyable about it to me. I too am trying to read stuff in trade more but when I go to my LCS every wee...

On Sep 1, 2008 2:24 PM@TheNextChampion: I did a little research after the cover of this book looks similar to one I have detailing the crimes of Jack the Ripper and it turns out that Rick Geary has done a few of these books. Check out this link, it has a list of the books he has done in this series http://www.powells.com/s?author=Rick%20Geary. I recommend the Jack the Ripper book if you have any interest this k...

On Aug 15, 2008 9:24 AMI have always been fascinated by serial killers (that's NOT to say that I admire them in any way, shape or form) so when I saw this I had to pick it up. I ordered it off of derfcity.com and it arrived in just a few days and only cost me the cover price plus tax (NO shipping cost). It was a great read and a very different take on the life of a serial killer. Most of the stuff I have read on seri...
