Once at a breakfast buffet, I thought I was getting a large chunk of ham. As I bit into it I realized (too late) that it was really cut from a SPAM-log. Goodbye appetite. 

@ dodzilla Grilled ham and cheese is good, but I grew up eating a lot of grilled BOLOGNA & cheese sandwiches. Maybe it's because we were poor but now I love 'em!

"... and tend not to see my writing in their style."  This got me to thinking and I really believe that any artist that is really trying to make it should be able to adapt their art to what the story calls for. I read Understanding Comics a few years ago and it completely changed my views on reading and creating comics. I'm currently reading Making Comics  and it's really awesome too. Very inspirational and informative. I'm glad you guys covered this.
