A Post Kirkman & Bendis Manifesto of Sorts

On Aug 21, 2008 10:55 AM

This is a great piece Ron, and I was hoping one of you would do an article on it because this site is one of the best places for discussion around.   The thing about comics that I think a lot of us take for granted is the Super Hero. I often hear indy creators and fans say books like Fear Agent or Criminal or what have you should sell as much as the Super Hero books. But I think a...

On Aug 12, 2008 10:15 AM

I have been thinking about this one for a while now. I like the idea but it did not seem original, but I am often to quick to right things off with out giving them a chance. I will check this out.

08.06.2008 - Final Crisis #3

On Aug 6, 2008 9:10 PM

Great pick Connor! I love this series, it is everything a big comic event should be. It is building slowly, but not at the expense of progress. A lot is happening each issue, but the pace allows for the foreboding and dread to build.    I love the new Japanese characters and can't wait to see more of them. 06.22.2008 - Special Edition Podcast - B. Clay Moore

On Jun 22, 2008 12:23 PM

I really enjoyed this conversation. It is great to hear his perspective in such a thoughtful discussion. I would love to hear more of these types of shows. He said a couple of times "that is a larger issue" and I would love to hear you guys talk about these issues as well. Maybe grab another creator or two and the other guys and do an Ifanboy industry discussion show.

The Sentry Problem: Void Where Prohibited

On Jun 10, 2008 11:45 AM

I know I am in the minority but I really like the Sentry. I think he is being used poorly, but I think he has loads of potential and the inserted continuity also has loads of potential. My biggest complaint is that there is no growth for the character, it seems like instead of showing him dealing with his mental illness and the struggle of that all he ever does is scream and run off panel.&nbs...

Creator Owned Book = Exempt from Criticism?

On May 28, 2008 11:44 AM

I agree nothing is off limits to review or constructive analysis. But I see his point in that to be a critic is the easiest thing in the world, it is no personal sacrifice to go criticize someone else. You don’t have to be trained to be a critic; all you need is a keyboard and an Internet connection. But to pour your heart and soul into something and get it out into the world ag...

The Fairer Sex and Their Finer Points.

On May 23, 2008 1:24 AM

People like sexy. It is a truth we see everywhere in our culture and I think it is true for 90% of people both men and women. Like in anything the people you hear from are those with concerns, those who are not concerned don't feel the need to say anything, so what we hear tends to be the negative. I would guess that the majority of comic fans are perfectly happy with the costumes and the sexi...
