It's October...
On Oct 3, 2008 11:59 AMI've been a superhero for the past few years and made everything. First it was The Punisher, which was the easiest because I had the t-shirt and trenchcoat already. Last year I was Wolverine. Made the claws out of gloves, cardboard, and duct tape. Wore a flannel shirt (like the movies) and grew out the sideburns for that authentic touch. While I'm going as John McCain this year, I'm al...
Go to CommentWatchmen Movie Trailer - This is really happening
On Jul 17, 2008 4:51 PMRight now, I am satisfied. After years and years of waiting, we finally have something tangible. I don't really listen to that much Billy Corgan, so my only opinion on it was that it seemed to fit the mood of the piece. It was like a game for me too, seeing if I could match up each shot in the trailer to the spot in the book. And they were spot on. I really can't wait.
Go to CommentSuper Villains - Pure Evil or Purely Misunderstood
On Jul 15, 2008 9:08 AMA good way to tell Purely Evil from Misunderstood is by their code of honor, if they have one. Captain Cold beat down Mirror Master because of his drug use, and even showed a little remorse over killing the Flash. A real mystery is Lex Luthor. Yes, he has committed heinous acts for his own gain, but then again he has helped (in his mind) defend the earth from the evil force that he believes ...
Go to CommentWhat would YOU ask Stan Lee?
On May 12, 2008 7:14 PMStan "The Man" Lee, Comics had a big effect on the childhood of many people during their creation and growth period. Do you think that in order for comics to have the same effect on a new generation, there needs to be a comics "Renaissance"? What needs to change in order to enthrall and inspire the next generation of comic book readers?
Go to Comment04.30.2008 - Glamourpuss #1
On Apr 30, 2008 9:17 PMI saw the iFanboy twitter feed that said that Glamourpuss was 90% likely to be POW. I saw it and said, "oh Boy, those are big odds. Hope they're right." Sure enough, Glamourpuss #1!

On Apr 4, 2008 1:14 AMI am really looking forward to Iron Man as well. But I agree with Ron. Even though it looks great, only time will tell whether it will be good or not. Ever since Hellblazer was POW not too long ago and I read the John Constantine appearance in the first volume of Sandman, I have been trying to jump onto the book. It looks really awesome and I like Ennis a whole lot.
Go to Comment04.02.2008 - Action Comics #863
On Apr 2, 2008 2:47 PMI literally clicked onto the page and gasped when I saw the POW. I lost my breath for a second. It's been awhile since Action Comics was picked (even when it was picked then it was a shocker) but to see a book like this in a week of Kick-Ass, Logan, Secret Invasion, and Zorro was unbelievable. Not exactly what I would have picked (I stopped reading anything Superman awhile back) but hey, that's...
Go to CommentDVD Review: Hellboy: Blood and Iron
On Feb 12, 2008 10:11 PMHaven't checked out any of the animated films yet, but now I'm really determined to before the next live-action one comes out this year. The reviews just made me want to check them out even more. On a similar note, The Amazing Screw-On Head, also written by Mignola is fantastic. It's funny, the voice acting is great, and it has the occult and action feel of the Hellboy comics. I luaghed my as...
