DON'T MISS: Strange #1 with Mark Waid
On Nov 9, 2009 9:17 AMGreat music choice. I wasn't going to check this out, but now I want to. I'll see if there isn't some kind of pull list maneuvering I can pull off.

On Oct 12, 2009 10:13 PMI love this news. Such a great concept. Definitely takes the sting out of delays. I just hope this is the only delay we run into. I'm really excited about the latest news regarding Brian Azzarello's First Wave. I know it's not completely new news, but I'm excited for a Doc Savage ongoing. The art by Rags Morales on the intro miniseries is just stunning. I think I'm going to fall in love with ...

On Oct 2, 2009 3:00 PM@hailscott: If you haven't checked it out already, try Freakangels by Warren Ellis. It's updated every friday with 6 pages of story. It's a great example of a traditional comic book story adapted to the internet. Worth a look for anyone. Do start at the beginning, though.

On Sep 30, 2009 4:45 PMMy man crush continues! This might be a little early, but this Johns/Manapul thing is turning into a Morrison/Quitely caliber partnership. That is, I find it hard to not call this my PotW every time it comes out. So excited. Regarding the particulars of the costume, I think it's important to note that these sketches were done last year. I believe the blog stated the purpose of these sketches...

On Sep 25, 2009 1:00 PM@edward: I'd have to disagree with the notion that art isn't toally subjective. Your points ring true only for the general consensus of a social group. As a culture, it has been decided that the Mona Lisa is one of the best works of art of all time. I couldn't care less about the paiinting. I'm not impressed with it, I'm not moved by it, it doesn't matter to me on a personal level. I can't den...

On Sep 15, 2009 12:02 PM@drake: Ain't It Cool News described the photo as being from the movie, with Lex Luthor being the "good" alternate earth version. Should be interesting.

On Sep 13, 2009 6:17 PMI'd like to chime in about Adventure Comics. Conor brought up the coloring, which is defintiely a strength of the book. However, I believe a lot of that watercolor effect is coming from Manapul's own inks. He does a kind of ink wash that gives his art a cool water color effect. Check out some of his original art on his website, it's good stuff. I think Conor said the same thing about last month...

On Sep 8, 2009 5:46 PMAs excited as I am for Manapul to be on Flash, I am bummed that Johns is leaving Adventure. Between this and Batman, I'm getting a little nauseous with all of the creative team juggling at DC.
