Name: Robert Fellows

I live in Seattle, WA now, have been a comics lover since the mid-80's but dropped them when I got my first car...had to pay for gas! I was very big on Marvel Comics back then, Secret Wars, West Coast Avengers, X-Men and Spider-Man, and the New Mutants. Oh, and Alpha Flight of course. I came back into the comics fold towards the very end of Identity Crisis and have been super-absorbed in everything DC Universe since. I love the direction Dan Didio is taking DC and exploring all things multiverse. I'm currently reading some collections of Green Lantern / Green Arrow from the 70's, Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's collaborations on Batman and Catwoman, then I'll work on getting to know Barry Allen a little bit better, as he's never been The Flash during my comic-reading days.

Consider Going Black and White with Captain America #601

I agree with you guys.  I just finished reading this horrible story, and I hated the colored art.  I then looked this up to spew hatred on it and saw the B&W you had posted and my attitude changed completely.   The coloring is horrible, the story still was a stupid waste of time, but I do have a new appreciation for the artwork, sans color.

The iFanboy Letter Column - 07/10/2009

On Jul 10, 2009 1:00 PM

Conor:  Thanks for writing such a great response to my letter.  I still hope and pray for a Geoff Johns-penned book, simply to make all the mess seem cohesive.  Straczynski is busy doing the Red Circle stuff right now, but might be a good choice when those are ultimately cancelled (or left unfinished due to other projects like The Twelve).  I always thought Morrison's Aquam...

The worst part about comics by mail?  Having to wait another week to get this.  But the money I save is soooo worth it!  Still, I want this NOW!

Captain Britain and the MI:13 ends with Issue #15

It was a great series when it started, but I dropped it when Blade came on.  I hate BLADE!  Sorry Marvel loses one of their actually decent series though.

Green Lantern: Where Do I Start?

On May 7, 2009 8:30 AM

@Chlop - I found the Ion 12-issue informative and entertaining but you only really need to read it if you want more clarity on Kyle Rayner.  If you're interested in reading more about Parallax and how it affected Hal Jordan, read a couple of issues from the middle of "Return of Superman" to see Mongul destroy Coast City, then read "Emerald Twilight" (collected with &qu...

05.03.2009 - 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'

On May 1, 2009 12:00 AM

Sucked, laughably bad.  Wait for the DVD if you haven't seen it yet.  Ghost Rider was better...like WAY better.  Roger Ebert's review about covered this movie completely.  And where was Gambit's creole accent?

I'll be at ECCC, for sure this year.  I just moved here from San Francisco, missed WonderCon heaps, so I need my fix. Hope to meet  Ron and Gordon and I just might show up for a drinkie-poo.

The Top 5 Underused/Misused DC Characters

On Mar 18, 2009 9:00 AM

@ Conor:  I'm with you on Wally West Flash for sure.  They got rid of him in Infinite Crisis, made a big deal about bringing him back with those stupid kids, did nothing with the rogues for a year (except for the super-awesome Rogues Revenge Final Crisis tie-in).  I feel so gypped over the money I spent buying issues Flash #231-247 because I wanted a Flash title.  ...

04.23.2008 - Justice League of America #20

On Apr 23, 2008 4:14 PM

I've actually been enjoying the full run of Justice League, but especially since McDuffie got on board. Bringing back the Legion of Doom (Injustice League), the whole Black Canary Green Arrow wedding, and the Lightning Saga (Meltzer and Johns work), I think the other commenters have forgotten about all the fun this title has truly been. Granted the first storyline was a little slow, but it re...
