02.11.2009 - Scalped #25

@TNC:  Where are you getting this number? It's been stated on the standard attrition forum that the numbers regularly posted on the internet are inaccurate regarding this title at least. It's also been said that this book has been slightly gaining or holding to its issue base and does great in trade. It's a great book and I wish I read it in issues but I started picking it up and trade...

The iFanboy Christmas Gift Exchange of 2008

On Dec 30, 2008 9:00 AM

Wow, great gifts guys! I thought the Marvel Chronicle gift mentioned at the end though was genius. My family totally caught me off guard and gave me one for Christmas, gotta say it makes for a fantastic gift!  I was so close to picking up the Joker hc for a friend who loves everything Batman, but the trade dress and page count  doesn't seem to justify a hardcover format. Also good c...

The Geek Hierarchy: We All Have Our Thing

On Dec 15, 2008 11:30 AM

Ouch Jim, ease up on the guy! Sounds like you really went on an all out offensive against this guy Chris. Even pulling out the sorcerer hand motions," I may or may not have wiggled my fingers at him like a sorceror" is hilarious though. While I think Chris was a bit overzealous, proclaiming to your guests that at 9 p.m. you are going to bed and reading Twilight is just asking for...

Paper, PDFs and Pirates

On Nov 12, 2008 12:00 PM

I know this may sound terrible, but I'm glad that piracy is becoming more of a focus point and problem for comics. The comics industry and it's customers are extremely resistant to evloving the format. Just look at what it took to get a better paper stock for issues. I totally agree that digital comics is the future of the industry and similar to the music industry I think pracy may just pus...

A Post Kirkman & Bendis Manifesto of Sorts

On Aug 21, 2008 10:55 AM

Great article Ron!  I think that not only does DC and Marvel have to try and market differently, but retailers really need to get their act together, and stop living in the past! I'm a relatively new reader to comics and I can still remember the first time coming into a few lcs after reading Planet Hulk. First thoughts, honestly, was to get the hell out of there! Everything was a mess,...

08.10.2008 - Episode #145: Final Crisis #3

On Aug 10, 2008 2:04 PM

Great Show! I loved Final Crisis #3 last week, mainly for the same reasons as was mentioned on the podcast. I'm really dreading the whole deal about the art, the first two issues had absolutely fantastic art! While the third issue's art wasn't as good, I want to see Jones finish it out. I hope the new artist just does backup stories, as was mentioned on the podcast. What cover did you guys...

C'mon Manga, show us what you got!

On Jun 24, 2008 3:21 PM

Really My favorite Series right now are published by Dark Horse:  Berserk: The First Volume is outstanding extremely well done art and the story is a medevil tale somewhat inspired by the Evil Dead Films. Gutts, the protaginist is looking to revenge on the The Four Hands of Fate ( I think), and their leader. It's a great Manga, and also a Fantastic Anime! http://youtube.com/watch?v=MUhL...

What would YOU ask Stan Lee?

On May 12, 2008 7:14 PM

To Stan Lee: Is there one character from DC comics, that you particularly love, or that you think would have been a great fit in the marvel universe?  Thanks!
