Talksplode #4 with Eric Canete of End League and Iron Man: Enter the Mandarin

On Oct 30, 2008 4:03 PM

What a great conversation. Cantete has such a relentless line of questioning. It's both exhausting and incredibly exciting to listen to. It was cool to hear him throw tough and interesting question after tough and interesting question, Josh fielding them well over and over again. This was podcasting gold.

Watch Out for Jerome OpeƱa

On Oct 16, 2008 9:00 AM

I first came across Jerome's work at comic con around 1999 or so. He had at table and was selling this short, wordless, black and white, spiral bound comic. It completely blew me away. The guy was obviously a great artist, but his story telling was very impressive too. It was one of my favorite things I got at the con that year. I lost it for a few years, but after I got it back, I kept googlin...

Marvel Pets

On Oct 14, 2008 3:10 PM

@Tad I think for the sheer amount of pets in the superman family alone (which is really huige if you count all the animals Superman keeps at the Fortress of Solitude), I would guess DC has a lot more pets. And they have also had bigger roles in many stories. Like the Legion of the super-pets (including all the pets mentioned in your post, minus bathound), the Legion of the super-dogs (Like legi...

Mike Norton Looks Back

On Oct 9, 2008 12:00 PM

Mike Norton is a super awesome guy. You folks should definetly check out him and his buddy Crank on the Crankcast. You may find it dull at first, but after an episode or two, you probably won't be able to stop listening to it, even if you may not be able to explain why.

Brubaker and Phillips on Incognito from Icon

On Sep 16, 2008 2:26 PM

That cover looks incredible and I hope this really is a straight up super-villain noir, and not brubaker and phillips doing WANTED. But that promise of something evil and twisted does reak of Millarness. But they are hyping it well, and it will probably pull in a lot of people who aren't reading criminal. I would just be really dissapointed if this is brubaker trying to be some else.

Narrative Crisis: Story Vs. The Idea Men

On Sep 2, 2008 12:00 PM

This article is so right on, it's ridiculous. I've been able to say why final crisis often fails and why tons of very smart people say they don't understand it. Compression and story are definitely the two biggest grant morrison issues. I've heard a bunch of stuff with people discussing this book, and never have I heard anybody come even close to explaining it this well. This is fine piece of c...

The iFanboy Letter Column - 08/15/08!

My pick for captain america would be Jon Hamm. He just exudes honor, intelligence and old school manliness. If you haven't seen that show, watch it just for Jon Hamm.

08.13.2008 - Secret Invasion #5

On Aug 14, 2008 2:39 AM

This was a really tremendous week. Everything I got delivered, and I got a lot of books. And even Secret Invasion delivered, in a big way. I had a tough time making my pick. I was torn between six books (SIX!) including Secret Invasion, Phil Hester's hilarious and awesome Golly!, Final Crisis: Revelations, Walking Dead and SI: Thor, and FF. I ended up choosing Fantastic Four, but not feeling t...
