Great job, Conor -- aside from giving us a peek at the inner workings of your brain, it gives a great feel for Manhattan too.  I'm glad I'm not the only one who fantasizes about the other people on the train.

The Top Ten Most Shaggable Men in Comics

As a gay member of the iFanbase, thanks so much Sonia!  What a fun article.   My one notable omission has got to be Hawkman!  True he'd never be able to commit because he's so hung up on his soulmate, but oooh that chest!

My First Shop: West Side Comics

On Aug 6, 2008 9:00 AM

Great article!  I'm old enough to have bought my comics for a quarter off the spinner racks at O'Jonnies," the littel 5&10 that was conveniently located right next to my elementary school.  (Its still there but much more upscale now.)  I didn't know anything about "new comics day" so I just went every day after school and picked up something interesting.&...

New Comics for 08/06/2008 miss San Diego, oddly enough

On Aug 4, 2008 5:30 PM

18 books for me - which is rapidly becoming the norm.  Glad to see Hawkman making a resurgence.  Hawkman's always been one of my favorites, but I wish they'd get him off Thanagar and back into the mainstream DCU.  As much as I love Power Girl, he really needs to be permanent chairman of the JSA. I'm also looking forward to Final Crisis, Batman, Hellcat and The Twelve. BQ: Not ...

The Next Big Thing - Motion Comics?

On Jul 31, 2008 11:39 AM

I thought they did a good job capturing the feel of the Watchmen books (although, yes, the word balloons are unnecessary.)  However, I had a hard time with the Invincible episodes for a few reasons:  The Watchmen has an old-fashioned feel so the stop motion animation seemed to work, while the Invincible one, set in contemporary times, just felt weird.  Also, the Watchmen is p...

I love Geoff Johns for making me feel like i'm 12 again I love my Action Figures proudly out of the blister pack and standing in rows on my bookshelf I love comic book podcasts in general and iFanboy specifically for getting me charged up again about comics. I love being able to go to cons and meeting my favorite creators and podcasters I love my Dad for buying me comics when I was home si...

DC & Marvel: What's the Difference?

On Jun 25, 2008 11:43 PM

I guess my response to that is "so what."  How long will it be until they "unretire" Steve Rogers?  How many times have they gone back and forth between Jean Grey and Rachel as Phoenix?  Spider Man has aged maybe 10 years at most in the last 40 and Reed and Sue haven't aged at all despite their children going up and down the age-ladder numerous times.  ...

Fantastic issue - after reading the Kirby Omnibus I was glad to see Sunny Sumo show up.  And does anyone else but me remember Rising Sun from the first appearance of the Global Guardians way back in the original SuperFriends comic?
