Hellboy got my pic. As for Strange? I think that the art was a perfect fit for a story in which Doctor Strange plays magic baseball. The only real contrast I found was in the cover and the interior art, not in the interior art and the story.

Honestly? The book's been dead in the water for well over a year. Most subscriptions at my shop have dropped it. It hasn't been very good in a long time. I still suggest picking up the earlier trades. Because they are good, but not just to keep this shambling mess going.

I really did hate Winnick's last run on Batman, so I'm not shedding a tear, but I don't think that my current Bat book pull list which right now is just Batman and Robin and Detective, will change any time soon

Only Batman and Robin and Detective interest me. The rest seem to range from stupid to downright offensive

Hmm... this was. Actually it was not very good. Very trite, slow, and and honestly boring.   My pick was ASM. Though that wasn't great. It was a down week

It's weird becuase FC is one fo the most straightforward works the Morrison has done in years. What I find sad is that arguments on BOTH sides rarely argue the actual merits of FC or RIP, but rather just lob insults and statements of fan entitlement

I found this issue pretty damn derivitaive and masturbatory. Probably the weakest issue of JSA in my opinion. I've only read half of my stack at the moment though, so i can't really say what my pick is

I gotta say, I'm still picking Batman, while silly, it was edge-of-the-seat exhilerating.
