Action Comics: Now with NO Superman!

My favorite comics of the last year were Nightwing and Action Comics (starring Superman). Now, one is cancelled and the other is dropping the main character? Sure, things may not be as bad as they seem, but for now, it seems like they want to mess with a good thing!

Did I miss something? How did Peter and Future Claire survive the nuclear blast, when even Daphne barely got away? They just show up later elsewehere with Peter restrained.
