Ten Implausible Things About Already Implausible Concepts

On Nov 19, 2009 9:00 AM

OK, it was obvious that this post would lead to six thousand answers, some good, some bad, some obscene. And that by doing so we would all be nerding out in the biggest, predictable way. But of Sonia's ten implausible things, which seems the MOST implausible. Which resists all rational explanations and No Prize attempts? I think it is the Hulk pants. OK, he buys purple stretchy pants at whole...

The iFanboy Letter Column - 11/13/2009

There is nothing wrong with collecting comics or knowing their relative worth. I mean all collecting is a bit stupid, putting too much value on old things, but as long you don't take it too seriously it can be fun, whether it be vinyl records, 1st edition books, stamps, coins, or Disney Memorabilia (ok that last one might cross a line). In its purest form the collection gives you a way to conn...

For The Kids: Silver Surfer Joins the Marvel Super Hero Squad

On Nov 11, 2009 12:01 PM

Just gave a viewing to my 3 year olds. Maybe it was all the comic indoctrination they have been getting for the past two years, but they seemed to realy enjoy it and already knew half the characters. It has laser guns and punching,  so I think I want to keep exposure to a minimum at this age (Seriously kids, violence doesn't solve anything. Well, unless Dr. Doom is attacking the Baxter bui...

Not to inject real politics, but how one names a bill and, more importantly, how that name is repeatedly mentioned in the news is an important part of getting your legislation passed. No one ever votes against Anti-Crime Bills. No one ever votes against anything that is "For the Children". Of course the so-called Anti-Crime Bill might be building multi-million dollar bridges from Goth...

This Week in Baseball: Joe Quesada & Matt Fraction?

On Oct 15, 2009 12:03 PM

I definitely see Logan, in an easy chair, snoozing, with a beer in his hand and the game on a summer afternoon. The team would have to be bad, so he could wake up periodically, curse at the f-ing bums, before drifting back to sleep. He would never buy team clothing, but in his cabinet would be an entire commemorative plate set from the year they last won the World Series, probably 40-60 years a...

Great Moments in Comics History: Captain America #100

The man was frozen in an iceberg for 20 years. Writing poetry was jus one of the many ways he passed the time. Just ask him how many degrees of separation between Nick Fury and Sir Francis Bacon. He knows.

Heroes - S04E01 + 02 - Orientation + Jump, Push, Fall

On Sep 21, 2009 7:00 PM

Definitely better than last season. I think we may be back up to the level of Season 2, which was definitely watchable. I don't think it is possible to recreate the magic of Season 1. We have just seen too much of these people before and half the reason Season 1 was so good was not the acting/writing but how fresh and new it was. Still, definitely fun which is a long stride better than the pain...

User Reviews Have No Sense of Humor

I think the bunnies have been cutting and pasting the snippet from my review multiple times. They do like the multiplication. Did you fix a link, Josh, or the text? Because either something is still amiss or CatEyedFox's review style is disurbingly famiiar to my own.
