Not much to say here. All you need to know is that I love comics, I'm a big fan of what the dynamic trio (plus one) do here, and you can either find me roaming miscellaneous Internet Comic Book forums under the moniker I have here, or you can find me doing my own Comic Book reviewing over at www.aintitcool.com

Yes, I'm an @$$hole, and I'm proud of it...

Who loves ya, baby? New Comics for 08/27/08 do!

On Aug 25, 2008 4:55 PM

Lots of books, but none of my top 10 except DMZ. I like to get 2-3 of those a week or so, so my stack builds to the proper crescendo. Oh well...

So... Why Aren't We Reading Resurrection?

On Jul 7, 2008 11:45 AM

I read it, have since day one and, well, it's okay right now. Loved it for the first couple issues and now it's kind of lost a lot of steam. The irregular schedule doesn't help it either. It's a strong premise, but doesn't feel like its gone anywhere with it yet. I'm still giving it a couple more issues, but it needs to sell me more. Also, it doesn't help that Oni is publishing another Post-Ap...

The DC Comics Absolute Quandry - Top 5 Stories That Should Be Absolutes

On Jul 2, 2008 9:07 AM

PROMETHEA and TOP TEN both are absolute Absolutes. Two of the greatest pieces of comic book artistry ever made, and they both are top reads as well. I can't know why they never got them back when. Now I imagine old issues with Alam Noore may stop them from happening

06.22.2008 - Special Edition Podcast - B. Clay Moore

On Jun 22, 2008 12:23 PM

I wish I had been paying attention more as this was going on (I'll have to catch up on this podcast later, but I just finally read all the posting that went back and forth to lead up to this). As someone who has been doing Internet reviews for quite a while now, I would have contributed a bit from my standpoint. On one hand, and given what I've been feeling about the Internet, or at least sect...

You know what's cool? New Comics for 06/18/08.

On Jun 17, 2008 12:05 PM

This might be the "shittiest" week of comics I think I've ever encountered. I order about 65 books a month... I'm getting six-ish according to all this. Either something's wrong, or I'm going to be completely ass-raped next week.

Final Crisis #1

On May 29, 2008 1:20 PM

Yeah, that was blah. Randomly "shocking" death, lots of recapping for everyone lucky enough to have not read/bought Countdown, lots of Morrison trying to make leftovers of his 7 SOLDIERS stuff relevant. Sticking with my call to read this off the shelf, but that's standard practice with me and events these days. Only things I'll be buying out of FC are the two John's minis.

05.07.2008 - Pretty Baby Machine #1

On May 7, 2008 6:35 PM

Heh. I already promised myself I'd review this book for Kody, but I was glad to find that it was actually really fucking cool. I think he muddled his art a little too much with the heavy ink, but this thing was fun as hell.

Something... something... Grant Morrison! New Comics for 05/07/08!

On May 5, 2008 4:48 PM

Apparently this is the Indie week from hell. Not that I mind at all. In fact, quite the opposite. Really wanting to see how some of this stuff turns out, especially PRETTY BABY MACHINE and the THREE SHADOWS book. Probably review them both at some point for the site.

2008 Eisner Awards Nominations!

On Apr 14, 2008 12:04 PM

I really like some of these nominations. The writer category is strong, as are pretty much all the ones involving art in the slightest (yay for Pia!). But man, again, the best ongoing category is pretty bad. Last year they nominated two books (All Star Supes and Young Avengers) that had put out a combined 5 issues in the year nominated for, and this year there's The Boys and Buffy? Don't get m...
