Name: Matt Starr

I'm a poor college student who just recently got back into buying issues, and am feeling the pain in my wallet.  At least i don't have enough money for a stack to build up. I love essentially every book Vertigo puts out, especially Hellblazer as I own all 20 something trades, as well as Green Lantern (and Corps), Ghost Rider, Noble Causes, Captain America, the Hellboy Universe and Ultimate FF and Spidey.

What an absolutley gorgeous book, i think the writing is a little tough to get through early on, but grows by leaps and bounds as the story progresses, easily my favorite of Davis work that i've read

Really excited for the new Justice League, and cautious about the new Azrael, hope its more like the two annuals and not the incomprehensible Bftc mini BC: why not, might as well have at least one person use it

On Oct 5, 2009 2:25 PM

Excited for the double dose of Lemire, new criminal, and Daredevil, just picked up the brubaker Lark omnibus and it got me real excited for the character again, and finally the Dark Reign FF trade as the main series has been phenomenal so far.  BQ: Feeling happy, just got a new iPod Touch!

The Top Thirteen Occult Detectives in Comics

Super glad you put Wesley Dodds up there, just recently grabbed the available trades of Sandman Mystery Theatre and it was fantastic, and if you like those stories, the current arc on Madame Xanadu, by the same author, is also a early 20th century occult detective story worth checking out

The Audience Demands It Show!

I just read the Locke & Key HC today, and it was a good introduction into the world Hill is setting up, with good building tension and enough mystery left over to keep you wanting more.  Star Wars: Legacy is a cool look at the future of the Star Wars universe, and well Secret Six is just entertaining, and the first sto...

@Josh you could start by reading the Villains United story that originally introduced the Secret Six or the miniseries, which are both in trade form already, if you haven't yet, which would probably give you a good idea if you wanted to read the series or not.
