HerrStarr

Name: Matt Starr

I'm a poor college student who just recently got back into buying issues, and am feeling the pain in my wallet.  At least i don't have enough money for a stack to build up. I love essentially every book Vertigo puts out, especially Hellblazer as I own all 20 something trades, as well as Green Lantern (and Corps), Ghost Rider, Noble Causes, Captain America, the Hellboy Universe and Ultimate FF and Spidey.

On Nov 26, 2008 12:00 PM

I'm really looking forward to sitting down with my recently purchased Showcase Presents: the Unknown Soldier vol. 1, recently been getting into war comics thanks to Garth Ennis's work, and the Kubert art looks fantastic in this book.  Also dust jackets confound me and always interfere with my reading, yet i can't seem to bring myself to remove them as it feels like a part of the book, mayb...

Whedon Speak: Angel: After the Fall

On Nov 18, 2008 10:27 AM

i think this is by far my favorite Whedon series, the hardcovers are beautiful, even if i thought it ended perfectly in season 5.  What they are currently doing with Gunn is really interesting, and i can't wait for the third HC to come out. Also isn't there a time issue if they were to do a crossover as Season 5 of Angel occurred after Buffy was canceled, or is season 8 far enough in the f...

For The Love of Hardcovers

On Nov 18, 2008 1:27 AM

At least if we're paying extra for the hardcover they could throw in a script, or something to make it feel like i'm not just buying a trade for more money, actually make it a premium edition, like the Angel hardcover Paul wrote about today.

Summer Days and Summer Murders

On Aug 27, 2008 12:00 PM

Awesome review! I first read Murder Mysteries in a collection of Gaiman's works and really liked it but Russell really brings it to life.  It's one of the first comics i ever bought and I still treasure it today.  I really feel like i need to grab Scene of the Crime now too.

All I can say is I wish Whedon would do everything as a musical, every time he does one its incredible.
