Captain America: Operation Rebirth
On Aug 4, 2008 4:30 AMI am sooo glad Connor picked this. I loved this run on the book as well as the second run Cap had with Waid and Garney/Andy Kubert after the whole Heroes reborn craptacular. The whole Cap losing and regaining his shield arc is one of the all time best (And I'm a freaking Canadian!). Dan Jurgens had a solid run on this series as well. Sadly, Marvel decided to put Cap int...
Go to CommentWatchmen Movie Trailer - This is really happening
On Jul 17, 2008 4:51 PMColour me impressed!! (Yes Colour... I'm Canadian) I was skeptical how this could be done... not because I'm one of those guys who declares something crap before I've seen it (Glad to see only a couple posts of the prejudging variety on here) but I just wasn't sure how you could do it! Well this is a very HUGE first step in showing me they might just have pulled it off!
Go to CommentSecretFinalInvasionCrisis #1
On Jul 16, 2008 12:00 PMI'll read a good comic no matter who puts it out. But right now my pull lists don't have much Marvel in them, and Secret Invasion is really making me think about having less. Hey at least we are getting Captain Britain from the whole mess. For my money Final Crisis is THE book coming out right now followed by Marvel 1985.

On Jul 7, 2008 11:13 PMI'm curious about the percentage of North Americans that actually have access to a comic shop? I don't have one anywhere near me and I'm sure most other people in a small town don't either. Since comics aren't found in drugstores like they were when I was a kid, I'm willing to guess a LOT of people don't have easy access to comics. I also doubt a person who just wants to pick...

On Jul 3, 2008 12:00 PMI dropped this title after three issues. Not the the Thor I like. Give me Thorspeak and Ron Frenz doing his best Kirby and I'll start buying it again.
Go to CommentThe DC Comics Absolute Quandry - Top 5 Stories That Should Be Absolutes
On Jul 2, 2008 9:07 AMI'm all for the Spirit Absolute as long as we get a run of Eisner stories instead of Cookes. Cooke is good, but he's no Eisner, and to be fair to Darwyn... who is? I think most of my picks will skew much older than the ones Ron mentioned in his excellent post. 1. 'Camelot 3000 Absolute' A brilliant book that never gets the love it deserves. Mike Barr and Brian Boland...
Go to CommentiFanboy Mini - Episode #78 - Madman Atomic Comics #9
On Jul 2, 2008 7:42 AMI'm a huge Madman guy, I've been with it from the get go and there is no louder Madman supporter than me. Having said all that this series has lost it's way. It's become a pretentious bore. And while the visuals are still amazing, it's a chore for me to get through these particular issues anymore. I have sadly decided to drop this book. This was not a decision I made ...
Go to CommentIn Defense of Superman
On Jun 24, 2008 1:14 PM@omegaflight based on your comments on Superman I honeslty have to ask how much Superman have you read? It certainly seems to be more of a perception you have than reality, because without question Superman has changed and evolved. The greatest evolution in the character is the change from Superman pretending to be Clark to Clark trying to be Superman. I would even say having...
Go to CommentOde to My Bag of Unread Comics
On Jun 4, 2008 11:55 AMWow great post! Although if you aren't reading them one should look at not buying some of them! But of course thats rational thinking and I'm all too aware that doesn't enter into it when buying comics!!!! I try never to get more than 10 titles a week, because reading comics shouldn't be a chore. If you get too many it can become that way. My pull list on here shows mo...

On May 13, 2008 11:12 AMLoved this book. BUT Cain and Abel better have a HUGE role in getting the house back or I'm not going to be happy.
