Was it just me or was Pyg's dance sequence reminiscent of Flashdance?

New Comics for 07/29/09 left their heart in San Diego

On Jul 27, 2009 5:00 PM

For me this week: Detective, Battlefields, Secret Warriors, Surrogates Vol.2, Lone Ranger (though this one could be on the chopping block soon.)   I'm trying to scale back my books here in the last month, and unfortunately Proof and Northlanders ended up getting dropped, both I thought started out strong, but have been non-essential reads for me lately.  To each his own. BQ: I'd ha...

Happy Fourth of July!

When were they going to announce that Cap had a bum boob job?  Seriously, couldn't the plastic surgeons tell that they made one just a tad bit bigger than the other?

Tim Burton's Batman was 20 Years Ago

On Jun 25, 2009 4:00 PM

I remember that summer fondly.  Outside of school, my daily routine consisted of riding my bike around town.  My summer outfit consisted of biker shorts, Batman t-shirts, and the Batman painter cap, which worn with the bill flipped up, had Batman in black text over neon green.  I think I may have had Panama Jack sunglasses too.  Come to think of it, I could probably still ro...

On May 13, 2009 8:55 PM

Just finished this weeks books last night, and wow, there is no way I couldn't make this my pick.  I have to say that I've had a quite a few average weeks here lately where I haven't been that excited about picking up or reading my books, but after reading this issue my excitement for my comics was rekindled.  This was the first time in a long time that I was able to give something 5...

Just won an Ebay auction for Bendis' Fire, Jinx, Torso, and Goldfish all for $20 bucks!  Have read Torso and Jinx already and can't wait to tackle the other two.  I was thinking Torso is due for a reread as well, loved that book.

The Audience Demands It Show!

I don't think I've ever heard anything mentioned about The Killer from Archaia Studio Press.  Excellent crime book, its only made it to the first volume in HC and I think two or three single issues after that, so definitely not something that will take too much time to read.

I definitely thought with the #0 issue that was released prior to the start of the series and the mini's, that the undercover and origin stories had a lot more weight to them.  Though I wasn't thrilled about the first issue of the Origin mini, its good to hear such high praises for the start of the undercover mini, makes me a little more excited to hit the shop for an otherwise light week...

I bought Lost Girls over a year ago, and have still only glanced through it.  Don't get me wrong, I love Alan Moore, but it just seems like so much of a commitment!
