I have to say, I was kind of wary of this after reading the preview Vertigo ran in just about all its books. However, reading the issue as a whole, I have to say it was very good. I like the story-within-a-story format - this could really let Willingham cut loose with some really interesting stuff.

This week is just monster huge for me - I'm gonna have to leave some stuff at the shop. Books that aren't getting left behind for sure: - Walking Dead (you iFanboys have got to jump on this in single issues) - Batman (Almost pooped myself when I saw the ad in DC books last week with the RIP Checklist - thought this was strictly Morrison's story in Morrison's book...) - GA/BC - Transhuman - Yo...

@NJBarritone - I completely agree - reading this in single issues as they came out just left me lost, and some of the delays later in the run didn't help. If I remember correctly, the individual series can out in order they were supposed to be read (issue of Zatanna, then issue of Guardian, etc.), but those later delays... ugghhh. Thought you'd go with SI#2 - it was a really, really strong issue. Don't you dig the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Coast_Avengers ? For whatever reason, my shop didn't get Pretty Baby in - but I am on the hunt for it tomorrow. After reading the review, I'm more jazzed than I was to read it.

Like Invisibles, The Filth just, well, kind of confused me. It certainly wasn't a "read while watching TV" title, which is unfortunately how I read most of the issues. It does require a reread and like most of Morrison's work, it's on my re-read list. Enjoy the family, Mr. Hickman. Looking forward to your return.

I'm stoked over the the DC Universe book - the Batman preview pages that popped up yesterday, plus this news, have me really looking forward to it. As far as Anti-Venom - JRJr on Spider-Man would have me there anyway, even if it was Rocket Racer, Molten Man and Grey Gargoyle (sorry, Ron).

Awesome idea and execution - I really dug the comment about the Twinkies ads - I loved those things (the ads, not the snack cakes). Not sure I could do much better, either - I'm verging on 20+ boxes, all packed to the gills, and I can barely remember stuff I read last week. Too much 'experimenting' in college, I guess.

I'd have to agree with most of the folks here - looking forward to all of these, but Wanted probably least of all. Call me one of those Millar purists if you want, but I think it would be a better movie with all the spandex, shit monster and that skeleton guy.
