I read the Google Chrome comic right before I read Josh's article! A GREAT use of comics. It takes a complicated subject at breaks it down so normal people can understand it. Are there awards for this? http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/

Comic Sales: Nobody Knows Anything

I was very disappointed in this article. Comics are dying yet all you can do is complain! How about coming up with some ideas on how to fix comics?

Darwyn Cooke - How it all began, abridged.

On Jun 13, 2008 1:07 AM

I just picked up the 1st Catwoman trade written by Ed Brubaker with art by Darwyn Cooke. It's the 1st Darwyn Cooke I'd ever seen and it blew me away. It is everything I want comic book art to be.

Josh, you were "a Scottie Pippin fan, not a Bulls fan"? Are you freakin' serious? I stopped reading after that.

Overrated

On Mar 18, 2008 11:37 AM

"Overrated" is totally valid term when used in the proper context. For instance, let's say the "Lobster Boy" comic has a reputation for a groundbreaking comic-art style. I read it and the art looks just like the "Fred Barnes: Attorney For The Damned" one-shot that was released two years ago. I say the art in "Lobster Boy" is overrated.  That's valid.
