It's kind of weird seeing this article go up today...I literally just bought the second trade last week and enjoyed it a lot.  Faerber obviously has a lot of fun writing it.

Return to Stack Week, Part I: More Like "Slack Week"

On Feb 16, 2009 11:45 AM

I too have most of the Marvel DVD Roms and love them.  But I've hardly put a dent in them!  That makes for a huge (but thank god only digital) Stack.

15 Years Later and I'm Still Reading Youngblood

On Nov 26, 2008 9:13 AM

This certainly sounds like an interesting project...I'd definitely like to be able to compare/contrast this new version with the old.   Augie de Blieck wrote about the HC a few weeks ago.  To anyone interested, I'd recommend checking out the Pipeline for some more info about this book.

X-Men Meet The O.C.? Sign Me Up!

On Nov 20, 2008 10:54 AM

I think it would be a great idea to do a full-on reboot of the X franchise, but as ohcaroline mentions, that might not be the most likely option. I also haven't ever seen the OC, so I have absolutely no idea what to expect from the writer.

Interview with Laura Allred

On Nov 20, 2008 9:00 AM

Very nice to be able to hear about Laura's experiences working with Mike.  I've read a bunch of Mike Allred interviews in which he discusses his collaboration with Laura, but I've never come across one with her until now!  It's nice to know that she seems to be fully immersed in quite a few top-notch books there, too.

Action Comics: Now with NO Superman!

On Nov 18, 2008 10:44 AM

@thefreakytiki:  You could be onto something there.  Overall it seems like it might be a bit too early for all of this worrying, even though this does seem to substantiate the Robinson rumor.  If this whole new idea for Action doesn't go over well, we all know that Supes will be back in the book in a heartbeat.

For The Love of Hardcovers

On Nov 18, 2008 1:27 AM

I always want to start building up more of an HC collection, but I usually curb my plans when I consider the cost.  I think that Marvel often makes it easier to put off buying HCs, since they usually follow up a Premiere HC release with a softcover just a couple months later.  I guess more than anything the big thing for me is to just read the stories, no matter the format!

Paper, PDFs and Pirates

On Nov 12, 2008 12:00 PM

@Jimski:  I am really glad to have most of those now-gone-forever Marvel DVDs.  They are my only real experience with comics in a digital format and I love them!  Without them I wouldn't be able to say that I've read the entire Lee/Kirby FF run or Peter David's huge Hulk run.  I really wish they could have continued those products.  I'm currently reading some mid-eight...
