I'm generally inclined to give the new creative team a chance, unless it's someone like Bruce Jones or Daniel Way where I know ahead of time that I can't stand thier stuff.  I mean if I was really that big a fan of the previous creative team and they were doing thier job, then by the time they left I should care about the character and what happens next.  But if I didnt like the ne...

Most looking forward to ASM and Fantastic Four.  Also picking up: Echo Wolverine JSA Serentiy The Hedge Knight Green Lantern Corps Wonder Woman  Booster Gold Nothing on the chop block, although it's the last issue of Hedge Knight. My favorite TV cop? Do private investigators count? If yes I'll drop a nod to Emerson from Pushing Daisies.

@Mungo: as is usually the case with tie-ins, most of them are ancillary stories simply showing the cast of that book reacting to the event. The only ones that might be considered "essential" are the Avengers books, which will actually fill in backstory by replaying events from earlier in Bendis run and showing how it connected to the Invasion, and showing how and when certain charact...

@patio: Bendis himself has admitted the pacing problems on House of M, and says he learned his lesson from it. Thats why the first issue of SI is doublesized, and judging from the early reviews starting to hit today it hits the ground running and only proceeds to speed up from there.

Been looking forward to Secret Invasion since the Elektra reveal.. my main quandry is wether to read it first or save it for last.  I usually put my most anticipated books at the bottom of the pile but.. I dont know I can make myself wait.

I've really enjoyed Batman, my only problem was that the terrible Ra's crossover interruped his story halfway through which made it seem even longer and more drawn out then it was. I'm hoping now that its over we can get back to a good pace.   Brand New Day has been nothing but fun. 

The Avengers books and USM will be at the bottom of the pile this week (I save the best for last) and my enthusiasm for the current DCU continues to dwindle as Green Lantern is my only DC book this week. Daredevil, Ms Marvel, She-Hulk,  UFF, Ultimate Human, UXM, and Legacy round out the rest of my pull list.   Damn thats a lot of Ultimate books in one week.
