The series that I recommend is only nine volumes: Genshiken. It is about the otaku subculture presented by a Uni Club called The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture abreviated Gen Shi Ken. It is the hope, the possibility in what could be great while at the same time an infinite well that we fall through, dying of old age long before we hit bottom.
