RIP Sheldon Dorf, San Diego Comic-Con Founder

Thanks for pointing us to this article Conor. I cannot believe someone posted "seems like a sad lonely life" in the comments section. This man brought hundreds of thousands of people together over the years and got to be involved in a world that he loved. It's amazing how ignorant some people can be.

The Best of the Week in... Covers (10/28/09)

@Nate. I think it's just a thing to let people know that Orson Scott Card approves of that product and it's not just... well, I'm not quite sure.

Avoiding Closure: My unread copy of Planetary #27

On Oct 29, 2009 9:00 AM

This is a great article. I was definitely feeling a lot of these feelings a couple of months ago. Brian K. Vaughan's Runaways is the book that got me into comics and I still love it to death. When Whedon came on, it was okay and then we got the reboot. I read a couple of the issues and just couldn't bring myself to keep going. I let the old relationship fade away instead of keeping it going. I ...

DON'T MISS: Northlanders #21

On Oct 27, 2009 12:40 AM

Northlanders is a fantastic series. I'm glad that we live in a market that can actually support a book like this. Still can't believe it's made it to 20 issues. Brian Wood has got some great ideas up in that head of his. Can't wait to hear him talk about this series. Come on, people! Give it a shot! I don't really care about vikings (even though I'm Minnesotan) but this book made me a huge fan!

Just read the first issue of Nothing Better. I'm only a month into college and I gotta say, that wasn't too far off. A little eerie at times.

Something about Batman, the Avengers, and Rainbows

On Oct 13, 2009 1:00 PM

Paul hits it on the nose again. People always want a return to form but don't realize that's the exact same thing they rally against all the time. I can't count how many times I see comments like "We've seeen this before." and "He's just aping the silver age (or a certain writer)" but then you turn around and see comments like "These aren't the REAL Avengers" or so...

Whatever Happened to the No-Prize Hunter?

On Oct 12, 2009 11:56 AM

Thank... God. This site does it again.  I had the exact same thoughts on Old Man Logan as you did. I thought it was actually cool that Banner had gained his stength in human form. Seeing an old dude toss around wolverine was a friggin' blast. There are leaps of logic in even the greatest literature. Some are acceptable. Some aren't explained because the readers should be able to figure ...
