Thoughts? Yes. I hate these news. I feel especially for Nightwing, which has been consistently great with the current team. A big surprise, since the book hasn't been much interesting for years. Ugh. :( 

Only JSA and Resist for me... Very light week. 

Come on, Ron... Right now Nova has kind of found his own voice, but at the first issues of the current series you could replace Richie for Kyle Rayner pre-return-of-Hal and some people wouldn't even notice. Maybe that's why I enjoyed Nova almost instantly. Kyle is my GL!

I... think I like Final Crisis. I am still not very sure.  Just a quick comment on the covers... I've been buying the painted ones and it bothers me how little Supergirl did in this issue. On the other issues they picked characters important to the story... Supergirl seems just randomly chosen. My p.o.w. would have to be Detective Comics... Although it pains me to see Batman and Zatanna...

@Paul: I'd prefer Wally, surely. I can't see what Barry has to offer that Wally doesn't. :/ 

Conor, If you really haven't watched more than 5 episodes of the Justice League cartoon... Man, you are in for a treat. Especially with Justice League Unlimited, when quality takes a leap from very high to insanely awesome. Let us know what you think when you get around watching it. 

It sure was better than the first one. I'm enjoying Final Crisis a lot... But up until now, it feels more like a big-scope Justice League story than a Crisis. My POW would probably be Young Avengers Presents Hawkeye. I bought it solely for Alan Davis art, but was very surprised by how much I liked it. I was very disappointed in Superman, though. Death Note is  definitely a great choice. The first volume is very representative of the tone of the series, so you guys would probably have a good idea what everything is about from reading it. Neon Genesis Evangelion is a good series, but not as awesome as everyone makes it sound... And the first volume has very little to do with the real story of it, so I think it wouldn't be a good ...
