Ultimate Comics Avengers #2

Since the relaunch about two months ago this has been a high octane action romp. It actually reminds me, in tone at least, to Old Man Logan. Man against his brotehrs and against the world. I love the art and, of course, the Ultimate trademark in over the top violence and a very slight commitment to more modern characterizations. Cap has discovered that Skull is, supposedly, his son. If true I think that is a neat twist for the Ultimate world. He breaks away from the team to discover the reason the government is trying to hide this from him, even as the government reps give flimsy excuses to each other about what is going on. Fury puts together a black ops team (ooooo shady!) to take somebody out. Is it Cap or is it Skull or maybe someone else entirely? This is a fun, action book that has some cool, if superficial, personal drama.
