Batman And Robin #5

I love the scenes between Jason and Scarlet. She seems like a character with almost infinite potential. Further, I see this story arc as Scarlet’s story wherein she is our perspective into this weird, odd world of shadowy rivalries and disturbed humanity. I liked the confrontation between Batman/Robin and the Red Hood. Jason shows an alluring madness that borders on lucidity. The ambush at the end sets up a great next issue wherein things will get very bad and vile or Scarlet will shine like a star. Tan’s art is the very definition of workman-like. It tells the story adequately but adds little to the pacing and occasional creates confusion with odd choices in angles or perspective.
