For some reason, I am opposed to taking out my back issues and rereading them just to find out what has happened previously. I had a vague recollection of what the previous story held, at least with marvel every month they have a recap page that DC could use to help fans with their late books. But as I read through the book the more and more I remembered and Kubert's art was just amazing once again. I liked the story a great deal, I didn't love it like I loved Johns' recent Action Comics storyline. But it was a fun book that would of been great if it came out on time. Yet, it's incredibly late, so late that I thought they just gave up on it. At least in Marvel when a book is late they wait it out. Like Whedon's Astonishing or Ellis' Thunderbolts. But those are different circumstances so I understand the difference. But I can't give Action a fair rating, the stakes that are raised are useless since you know the outcome well in advance. I am goign to average my rating on Action simply because it was late. But it wasn't a bad book by any means and I'm not upset over my purchase.
