Sub-Mariner Depths #3 (OF 5)

Wow, long time since my last review.
I was having this talk with some friends that also pick up Sub-Mariner : The Depths and some of them were actually complaining on the fact it sucked that we didn't even see Namor after two issues and that if he didn't show up in the third and blablabla.

Sorry guys, he doesn't show up in the third issue. And I'm all good with it. I absolutely love the direction this mini is going. The scary mood, the gorgeous art, the psychological development of each character, myths, legends, depths. Its just great. It's a really haunting and greatly written comic. Who cares if the Sub-Mariner doesn't show up?? If the issues are good and make up for it, I'm all there. So yeah, I couldn't more disagree with them.

The art is GREAT. Mind-blowing. It's creepy, beautiful, just so appropriate. And the third was the best so far. I read it fast, wanting more and more and more and by the end, I was biting my lips and thinking "damn, I don't want to wait two months for the next issue!" I think this is one of the best series Marvel has out there right now, truly intelligent and beautiful.

Totally looking forward to Namor's appearance though. Which I'm sure is going to happen, since that the point. Dramatic build-up = Great climax. Gotta love it, its rare these days.
