Gotham City Sirens #5

See I knew that was not the real Mister J!!  I can't believe I actually thought it was him last issue, but given March's artistic style, who could be sure about anything?

This issue got just barely three stars from me.  There is nothing that bothers me about Gotham City Sirens.  It's pretty much just a quick read that I forget about five minutes after I put it down.  I have no problem getting through it from front to back, but Dini's scripts never seem to really have any noteworthy plot twists that put me in any type of rush to reread the series so far.  It's like watching a cartoon I found slighty interesting after flippin through the channels and not being able to find anything better to watch at the time.  I'll be damned if I'm gonna set the TIVO to record the next episode though.

Gulliem March's art is getting a little bit easier for me to look at now.  I don't like his panels when he packs too much stuff in at once very much at all though. The way he draws the females is hardly impressive at all either.  My jaw almost dropped to the floor when I saw Selina Kyle wearing a swim suit in Daniel's Batman issue.  March could draw all three stars of Sirens, and the construction worker chick who just happened to make an appearance in this issue for no reason, all totally stark naked and I wouldn't find it too impressive at all!  His style just doesn't work for me, or for this series in my opinion.  I can't wait to hear when a new artist is announced to take over, if they are even planning on making this title last more then 12 issues.
