I was very close to not even buying this issue because Paul Dini didn't write the script. Chris Yost did a great job with kicking off the new Red Robin series, but it lost steam really fast. I didn't want to read anything similar to Red Robin #5 anytime soon. Thankfully, Streets Of Gotham #5 is a wee bit better then the latest issue of Red Robin, although I'm quite glad Paul Dini isn't going to be gone for too long!!
75 percent of this issue is The Huntress thinking to herself about this, that, and the third while trying to catch up to, and apparently trying to capture, Kurt Langstorm, otherwise known as Man-Bat. The other 25% is flashbacks of all the trials and tribulations Father Mark has gone through since he came to Gotham City some years ago. Don't worry, I had no idea who Father Mark was before this issue either. This makes for a good refresher of some previous Batman arcs though.
Everything ties together in the end to set up the cliffhanger. I'm still interested. It's only one more issue until Dini comes back and I am really starting to enjoy the Manhunter feature a lot more now, especially after seeing her little figure in a two piece bikini. Shit, I didn't think a sketch drawing could look that good, but it had me smacking my lips together real fast.
