This is a return to (near-) brilliance, and the first Peter David issue on this title that I've enjoyed. And appropriately enough it was a Jamie Madrox story. What Fred Van Lente proved with his run on this series is that "kid" titles don't have to be boring, derivative, or bland. And I think David is starting to get the hang of it after a shaky start.
The soapbox page with Wolverine reaming out the bootlegger was funny but also kind of heavy-handed, which is a complaint I have with a lot of Peter David's work. Seriously? Does he think he's going to change anyone's mind with this little rant? Well, I just took it with a grain of salt and moved on.
But all-in-all this story touched on some really interesting concepts revolving around the Multiple man, but also about morality and ethics, and Kitty took the lead. I'm back to enjoying this and I hope it lasts.
