Ultimates 3 #5 (OF 5)

This issue won me over. I can't even say what it was. I can't necessarily recommend it to someone who is on the fence. It just hit that sweet spot of fun action story and beautiful looking art and lots of goofy "reveals" and such. You can't take this seriously. It's not as buffoonish as Loeb's Hulk, but it's in that realm. It's not Millar's Ultimates either. And, yes, this ended up being a stright-up lead in to Ultimatum, but that's been on the table for awhile.

The only thing I'm a little disappointed in is that Mad's long-anticipated run only lasted 5 issues. It is a little silly. What else is he doing?!???
