Secret Invasion #2 (OF 8)

It might be crass, but I want to talk about the price of this comic book. $3.99 for 22 pages. That comes out to just over 18 cents per page. Compare that to the first issue which was also $3.99 but had 40 pages. That's just slightly less than 10 cents per page. So there was an 80% increase in cost-per-page from issue #1 to issue #2. Was issue #2 80% better? Did 80% more happen on each page? This is silly, I know. But I can't help it, it bothers me.

That said, the issue was phenomenal. There were pages that I just stared at for several long minutes (80% longer minutes?). There are things that happened that I'm going to think about for days after I've put this book down (80% more days?). So, I'm going to continue to pay $3.99 an issue, because the alternative is to miss out on a series that I'm enjoying more than any event in recent memory.
