Chew #2

Chew #1 was amazing. Anyone who read it could tell you that. But was the forward momentum preserved? Yes and no. This book is still smart, funny, and beautiful to look at. I just have one nitpick: the new boss is not as great a foil to Tony Chu as his old partner was. This just seems like JJJ to the max. Just annoyed me a bit (and I know it's supposed to). Still, this book exceeds all expectations I had for it. I don't what these creators have been doing all this time, but I'll be surprised if they aren't at the top of the pack in their fields soon.
