Circle #4

Maybe I’m bias because of my love for spy comics, movies and books, but I don’t think so. I think this is just a really fun well-written and drawn book. It’s taken a peace of history that not many, including myself, knew about the Russian cold war rail system, and made a fun and exciting story about it. The best part is that Brian Reed doesn’t feel the need to try and dazzle us with all his ‘KA-nowledge’ and just give us the goods with a really solid story.

Ian Hosfeld’s art isn’t something I’m gonna be able to pick out of a line-up, not that it’s bad, there’s just no signature style. But he can draw anything and can do it well. He can also progress a story, which, of course, is key in comics.

Every issue has had something in it even though this is defiantly written as an arc and not for issues. But I’ll continue to go the issue route as long as they keep it up. It’s a solid reed…er…read. (bad pun)
