i feel i need to justify my pick here.

i picked a book that wasnt my favorite of the week. i feel i did this in the true spirit of ifanboy.

first, $1? great start.

second, i've never really read much of the older superheroe stuff, nor of old superman. it was fun. horrible, yes, but fun. it was a nice change of pace, and a great history lesson to let me know how wonderful it is for me to live now when i get *actual* good comics.

third, the potential of the black lanter saga? fuck me, im so in. im giddy just thinking about it.

was this my favorite book of the week? no, it wasnt. the stories themselves were actual mediocre at best, though what this book did for me is an almost completely new experience. i had to pick it.
