Superman #679

I enjoyed this issue! It has everything you look for in a Superman story. Superman is getting his ass handed to him. Lex is being a jerk. I really enjoyed the scene between Lois and Clark at the breakfast table. They're giving him character which I'm really enjoying. This whole issue is leading up to someone finally coming in to help Superman destroy Atlas. Deus ex dog? I turned the last page and groaned. Listen, I'm all for Krypto to help kick some ass. That sounds awesome. What forced my eyes into a circular motion were the "thought captions" above him. Krypto loves man (sigh). I protect place for man (Ugh!) Krypto good boy. (Audible moans.) Maybe this will play out and be awesome but I'm sorry that last page was just lame. (Cries next to Starman omnibus)
