After the horrible show that was the Knaufs run on Iron Man (they turned Yinsen into a terrorist and killed Happy, for two brief examples), I wasn't expecting much when I learned that they were going to be ruining...ahem...telling stories about Captain America classic.
The art is what lured me into this one.
Yes, the story is crap. I didn't bother to read the words half the time, but there were amazing pages of Steve Rogers doing what he did best: beating the hell out of Nazis, Nazi sympathizers, and robot Nazis.
I will admit that I was impressed by the fact that the authors just went with the story (Nazi flying saucers of death) and ran with it from page three, something I can respect, but the rest of the plot was formulaic, though it did feature some badass stuff with Classic Cap taking down Nazi Robot Dude while verbally bitchslapping him as well.
Final gripe: Classic Cap wouldn't say "friggin'."
