I think this is a dead-on description of this series.  This was just a big 'whatever' for me.  As far as missed potential, what about dwelling on that moment of decision where Logan has to decide whether he wants to keep remembering this woman or not.  In the past he's been forced to lose most of his memories, good and bad; now he's retrieved all of his memories and is being given a chance to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of keeping them.  As it is, this only lasts about a panel, and in the end, we don't even know what he decided.

As far as other possibilities, where's, like, the Wolverine Origins set in the 70s where he's a roadie for Bruce Springsteen?  Because that one would be awesome.  Or maybe I'm alone there.
