Guardians Of Galaxy #6

Space is the new black and Guardians of the Galaxy gives us that in spades.  Space is really where the good stuff is in the major universes these days, between the Sinestro Corps wars and Annihilation Conquest and the books which led up to it, the big cosmic comics are on the rise.  Guardians of the Galaxy is, I think really a shining example of this trend.

Despite the "Secret Invasion" tie in advertised on the cover, this book is really light on the Skrulls.  It manages, like the last issue, to play off of the mistrust and the "enemies among us" pod people paranoia of the other Secret Invasion stories without any of the baggage those books seem to have.  That being said, however, the revelations in this book make a couple of the moments from the previous issue no longer make sense and in retrospect seem like cheap shots.  Why does Cosmo say "He loves you" if... I won't spoil it.  It's a small point, however, and I'm thoroughly enjoying the combination of cosmic romps and a disfunctional team with its unusual dynamic.
